Codabar, also known as ABC Codabar, CodaBar, USD-4, NW-7, Code 2 of 7 and Monarch, is a self-checking, discrete linear barcode which is widely used by American blood banks, photo labs, etc. It was developed by Pitney Bowes in 1972.

Install Codabar Add-In for Excel
- Download and unzip BizCode Add-In for Microsoft Excel;
- Close all Excel documents and run the setup file;
- Open a new Excel document and click "Install" in a pop-up window;
- Now a tab called "Add-Ins" is placed in the Excel menu bar;
- The installation is finished successfully!
How to Create Codabar Barcode in MS-Excel?
- Create a new Excel document and click the "Add-Ins" tab;
- "Barcodes Settings" panel pops up on the right;
- Select "CODABAR" in "Barcode Type" and type valid data in the box under "Data";
- Click "Generate" button and a required Codabar is created;
- You can adjust the parameters of the created barcode now;
- Just turn to "Barcode Settings" panel and modify the parameters;
- Now click "Update" to finish the revision.
How to Link a Barcode with a Cell in Excel?
- Open a new Excel document and create a Codabar barcode;
- Click "Link To Cell" in "Barcode Settings" panel and select a cell with valid data;
- Click "Update" button in "Barcode Settings" panel;
- Successfully, the linkage between the barcode image and the data in the cell is finished;
- Additionally, multiple Codabar barcodes linked to cells can be updated at one time;
- To realize the function above, make sure all the barcodes are linked to different cells first;
- Revise the data in those cells and click "Update Link To Cell" button;
