The default size whenever a new document is created is U.S. Letter, 8 1/2" by 11", but this can be changed in a number of ways. The quickest method is via the Property Bar while the Pick Tool and no objects are selected. The Property Bar features options for setting your page to standard-sized pages, custom sizes, and orientation, as seen in Figure 5-3. In case you have a multi-page document, the Property Bar also has ways to change all pages at once, or only the currently visible page. The Paper Type/Size and orientation options control the format for your document. When you have a specific format for a design you need to print, the following sections cover the options available to you in CorelDRAW X4.

Jitter is one of the most confusing aspects of digital video and audio, and this confusion carries over to Blu-ray Disc. Even the experts disagree about its effects. Part of the problem is that jitter means many things, most of them quite technical. Modern episodes of Star Trek come closest to providing a comprehensive definition. Since it s not very dramatic to say, Captain, we have detected jitter! crew members instead say, We have encountered a temporal anomaly! In general terms, jitter is inconsistency over time.

A blend between two polygons with different colors is fine. But when two of the blend group objects are split, and the child objects are repositioned and then assigned new fills, you re talking something visually complex and fascinating!

The non-generic collections have been part of the .NET Framework since version 1.0. They are defined in the System.Collections namespace. The non-generic collections are generalpurpose data structures that operate on object references. Thus, they can manage any type of object, but not in a type-safe manner. This is both their advantage and disadvantage. Because they operate on object references, you can mix various types of data within the same collection. This makes them useful in situations in which you need to manage a collection of different types of objects or when the type of objects being stored are not known in advance. However, if you intend a collection to store a specific type of object, then the non-generic collections do not have the type safety that is found in the generic collections.

Hopefully this chapter has provided you with the most common solutions to hurdles you might face when tackling a full-featured design program. You now know how to move, scale, rotate, and perform other operations on page objects and their duplicates. You also know how to both manually transform and use the dockers and other features for precise moving and alignment of the elements you need for a terrific design. 9 takes you into creating these shapes that you now know how to move; you put s 8 and 9 together and your family s going to start missing you because you ll be having too much fun designing to sit down for regular dinners!

Be familiar with the problems associated with connectivity and routing across an NBMA network and how to solve split horizon problems. The recommended solution is subinterfaces, where a single VC and subnet is associated with each subinterface. Know how to associate a DLCI to a subinterface with the frame-relay interfacedlci command.
The access declaration restores the access level of an inherited member to what it was in the base class.

Usually, you use most of the controls on a digital camera on the fly as you shoot pictures. But you need to set up some features of your camera before you begin shooting. Those settings should match the type and quality of photos you hope to turn out. Pictures shot for the Internet, e-mail, a family album, or a full-blown, framed display have different requirements for resolution, which is essentially how sharp and detailed your photos are, and for compression, which is how much of those details are sacrificed so your photos take up less storage room in your camera and your computer. The number of pixels your camera uses to capture an image determines the picture s resolution. The more pixels, the higher the resolution. A software program built into your camera performs the compression by discarding information that probably won t be missed and saving the remaining information in a file format called a J-peg (or JPEG). (Its file extension is .jpg.)
