The label value can be similarly changed to ACT after double clicking on the text NewMember1 under the Label column. An optional description of Actual can be added by double clicking in the Description column. In the direct data entry method, new dimension members can be added by selecting New Sibling from the Actions menu. Every time the New Sibling is selected from the Actions menu, a new member with Name and Label values of NewMemberx is added to the dimension. The names and labels can then be modified by double clicking on the text, and entering the desired values. For the purpose of the example in this chapter, another member with Name, Label, and Description values of Budget, BGT, and Budget respectively is added to the Scenario dimension. The final Scenario dimension member list is shown in the bottom half of Figure 7-18. After all the dimension members are entered by the direct data entry method, the dimension can be saved or checked in. Checking in will automatically save the dimension data to the PPS Planning system. Load Members from Data Source The dimension member data can be loaded from a data source that has already been added to the Data Sources link on the left pane

In LINQ, queries have two different modes of execution: immediate and deferred. As explained early in this chapter, a query defines a set of rules that are not actually executed until a foreach statement executes. This is called deferred execution. However, if you use one of the extension methods that produces a nonsequence result, then the query must be executed to obtain that result. For example, consider the Count( ) method. In order for Count( ) to return the number of elements in the sequence, the query must be executed, and this is done automatically when Count( ) is called. In this case, immediate execution takes place, with the query being executed automatically in order to obtain the result. Therefore, even though you don t explicitly use the query in a foreach loop, the query is still executed. Here is a simple example. It obtains the number of positive elements in the sequence.

during menses leads to the seeding of endometrial cells in the peritoneal cavity 2. Lymphatic and vascular spread: spread of endometrial cells through lymphatic and vascular channels 3. Coelomic metaplasia: transformation of coelomic epithelium or undifferentiated peritoneal cells into endometrial tissue by an endogenous undefined biochemical factor In what sites are endometrial implants found Most common: ovaries, anterior and posterior cul-de-sac, uterosacral ligaments, posterior uterus, posterior broad ligaments, sigmoid colon, appendix, round ligaments Less common: vagina, cervix, rectovaginal septum, cecum, ileum, inguinal canals, abdominal or perineal scars, ureters, urinary bladder, and umbilicus Rare: breast, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, kidney, urethra, extremities, vertebrae, bone, peripheral nerves, lung, diaphragm, and central nervous system What are the common presenting symptoms of endometriosis and how do ectopic lesions explain these symptoms Chronic pelvic pain: local peritoneal inflammation secondary to formation of adhesions and fibrosis Acute exacerbations of pelvic pain: peritoneal inflammation secondary to the release of hemolyzed blood and other contents of ruptured endometriomas Secondary dysmenorrhea: cyclical changes in ectopic lesions secondary to changes in estrogen levels Dyspareunia: deep infiltration and scarring of the uterosacral ligaments and rectovaginal septum by endometriotic lesions. Can also be caused by a retroverted uterus secondary to adhesions (leads to deep dyspareunia)

The graph would look precisely the same if the lamp had been twice as bright. Explain why this observation leads to the conclusion that light has a particle-like aspect.
