The balanced scorecard (BSC) is a management tool that is used to measure the performance and effectiveness of an organization. The balanced scorecard is used to determine how well an organization can fulfill its mission and strategic objectives, and how well it is aligned with overall organizational objectives. In the balanced scorecard, management defines key measurements in each of four perspectives: Financial Key financial items measured, such as the cost of strategic initiatives, support costs of key applications, and capital investment. Customer Key measurements include the satisfaction rate with various customer-facing aspects of the organization. Internal processes Measurements of key activities include the number of projects and the effectiveness of key internal workings of the organization. Innovation and learning Human-oriented measurements include turnover, illness, internal promotions, and training. Each organization s balanced scorecard will represent a unique set of measurements that reflects the organization s type of business, business model, and style of management.

il spills cause significant environmental problems. The largest spill in history was the deliberate release of oil into the Persian Gulf during the 1991 Gulf War. The second largest spill took place in 1979 when an exploratory well off the coast of Mexico released about 140 million gallons of oil. Large oil spills near wells and from tankers pose the most vivid display of concern. However, oil pollution can also be seen in situations such as contaminated soil from automotive fuel spills, industrial spills, tank leaks, and household grease wastes. Cleanup of major oil spills may be accomplished by physical, chemical, and biological methods. In this activity, you will focus on bioremediation, which is a method of using natural organisms to break down contaminants at the site. There are naturally occurring microbes living in soil and water where contaminants are found. Some of these microbes break down hydrocarbons. The fungus Penicillium and the bacteria Pseudomonas are two such microbes. However, they are present in small amounts, and it would take many years to accomplish the cleanup. Biostimulation is the process of improving the area of concern by adding microorganisms and encouraging their growth. These microorganisms are natural. They have not been genetically engineered. The process simply increases the number of natural organisms at the site.

The recommendation describes the test methods and test signals that should be used to verify equipment performance. The recommended limits are defined in terms of jitter amplitude over a range of jitter frequencies and are presented in the form of graphs or masks. SDH recommendations use a similar philosophy. ITU-T G.825, The control of jitter and wander within digital networks which are based on the Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), covers:
