SSRS uses three color properties to format reports: Background Color, Border Color, and Color. These colors use either HTML names or a hexadecimal HTML color string. The standard format for HTML color strings is #RRGGBB which represents color by the combination of Red, Green, and Blue with hexadecimal numbers. For example, the color white is #ffffff and black is #000000. The color properties that you can configure in SSRS are Background Color, Border Color, and Color (which refers to Foreground Color). Fortunately, you do not have to write hexadecimal strings. When you select any of the color properties, you can choose from the Standard Colors Palette, which shows at the bottom the most recently used colors.
