c# create barcode from string URL bar in Objective-C

Implement Quick Response Code in Objective-C URL bar

The red border effect will now apply only to <p> elements with a declared class of illuminated. Other useful pseudo-selectors include first-line, and hover, which modifies the appearance of hyperlinks when the mouse pointer passes over them. For example, to make a link appear in yellow when under the mouse pointer, we could write the following rule:

Structs implicitly derive from Object (as do all types in C#, including the built-in types) but cannot inherit from any other class or struct (as classes can). Structs are also implicitly sealed (that is, no class or struct can derive from a struct; see 11); this is not true for classes. The goal of structs is to be lightweight requiring little memory overhead but their use is so constrained, and the savings are so minimal, that most programmers make little use of them. C++ programmers beware: structs in C++ are identical to classes (except for visibility) that is not true in C#.

The ENC has been around in the EJB specification since the early 1.0 days. It began as a local JNDI namespace that was specific to an EJB container. Developers could define aliases to resources, EJBs, and environment entries in the JNDI ENC through EJB XML deployment descriptors. These aliases could then be looked up directly in JNDI within business logic. In EJB 3.x, this mechanism was enhanced so that JNDI ENC references can be injected directly into the fields of a bean class. Annotations are the primary mechanism for doing this, but XML deployment descriptor support is available for those who wish to use that abstraction.

Sometimes you ll want to show the cumulative effect of sets of data. For example, you have a log file from a web server and you filter out all the unimportant requests, such as images and the like. You are left with only requests which are important to you, and want to create a chart that expresses the total number of requests in each hour of the day. You are also interested in how these requests are divided between GET and POST requests, and how these are further split between the secure and nonsecure parts of your site.

So, what is an optional task In previous versions of Ant, the term optional task referred to those tasks not normally distributed with Ant; they were in an add-on library that users downloaded separately. As of version 1.5, Ant ships with complete sets of core and optional tasks. But there are still distinctions between the two task types. Ant s optional tasks are stored in different libraries and the online documentation divides tasks into core and optional. With current distributions, the distinction between core and optional tasks may seem odd or unnecessary, but there are some remaining differences. A key one is that optional tasks are generally viewed as less essential than the core tasks to the majority of build files. Although <junit> is an optional task, we consider it to be a mandatory feature in all build files. The other difference is that nearly all the optional tasks depend upon external libraries or programs to work. Unlike core tasks, optional tasks are not typically stand-alone. Thus to use nearly any optional task, you must download and install the extra libraries or programs. These additional downloads have been the source of many support issues. The expectation by many users was that once the optional JAR was downloaded, everything would work. When it didn t, many concluded there was a bug in Ant. As a consequence of the many erroneous bugs reported, the error message 235

You re sitting in your office, surfing the...I mean reading up on the latest technology issues most pressing to software developers. You re minding your own business, when boom, someone walks up to your desk and offers to pay you money to write a program. It happens every day, all over corporate America, and sometimes it just makes me sick. But enough about my health problems. This desk-hovering somebody informs you that you must develop a software application, possibly a database application with a user-friendly interface. Although the feature set will be specified by the primary users, you, as the lead (or only) programmer, will design, document, develop, and deliver discs dripping with distinguished, dazzling, and dynamic digital...um...software. (Darn.) Well, that s what happened to me. A client of mine had a large collection of books that they needed to organize as a traditional library. Seeing that I was a reasonably codependent software architect, the client asked me to develop some software to manage the books and such. Out of this request came the Library Project. As you read through this chapter, you will have to keep my day job in mind. I write custom Visual Basic applications for small to medium-size organizations. Most of the projects are sized so that I can complete them by myself, including all design and documentation requirements, in less than a year. All my projects involve a key user, one person or sometimes a very small group who speaks for the user community. These projects also involve someone who has signature authority, a person authorized to pay for the project, or decide on its continued existence. This individual may be the same as the key user. If you were developing, say, a replacement for Microsoft Word, you would likely lack a key user. To obtain the specific requirements for the project, you may have to conduct general user interviews with dozens of user candidates. Or you might create a persona, a fictional person who represents your intended target audience. (For Visual Studio, Microsoft used three personas named Einstein, Elvis, and Mort.)

This can lead to obvious security problems, providing access to unauthorized users. It can also cause database corruption or exceptions being thrown when your database code assumes that you will have a valid user id and you have none. To avoid all this, it is good practice to check the login status of the user in the Page Load event of every page in the web site. If the user is not logged in (or is not in the correct role), you can then redirect the user to the appropriate page (often the login page).

For now, we ll jump right in and build a database helper class for our application. You need to create a helper class so that the details concerning creating and upgrading the database, opening and closing connections, and running through specific queries are all encapsulated in one place and not otherwise exposed or repeated in your application code. Your Activity and Service classes can use simple get and insert methods, with specific bean objects representing your model, rather than database-specific abstractions such as the Android Cursor object. You can think of this class as a miniature Data Access Layer (DAL). The following listing shows the first part of our DBHelper class, which includes a few useful inner classes.

In this chapter we ve discussed the basics of graphics programming in a general sense, with an emphasis on colors and color spaces. 4 has more practical information on how to work with graphics primitives. We haven t covered everything there is to know and have breezed over some of the details of the discussed matter; however, the introduction presented in this chapter should be sufficient to understand the rest of this book.
