Create Leitcode images using C# Windows Control Library Project Template
Leitcode generator control
User-defined Windows Forms ControlIn Visual Studio, Controls with different functionality are provided for .NET developers to help them on their projects. You can create a composite control to combine the controls you need along with .NET Leitcode Generator Control. In this way, powerful controls that generate Leitcode are created.
The created controls not only retaining all of the inherent functionality of the Windows Forms controls but also incorporating .NET Leitcode Generator Control functionality. You can use the controls in Windows Forms to generate Leitcode Barcode image. High Quality Leitcode barcode images are printed in GIF, PNG, JPEG & BITMAP. You can define properties by modifying the default value.
All the controls including .NET Leitcode Generator Control and the inherited control could be packaged and reused in Window Forms Application.
Windows Control LibraryWindow Control Library is a project type with project template that creates User-defined controls to use in Windows Forms. When start a new project, choose Windows Control Library in the wanted language (Visual Basic, Visual C#, or Visual J#) at the New Project dialog box. You will find in Solution Explorer that essential project reference and files have been added to the new project already. Windows Control Library simplified the custom control development at the starting point.
LeitcodeLeitcode is a numeric barcode symbology that is used by the Deutsche Post AG. It primarily uses the code from one to nine. This code is based on Code Interleaved 2 of 5, but with a different check digit. It is pretty much the same thing with Identcode which is also a variant of Code Interleaved 2 of 5.
Overview of Interleaved 2 of 5Interleaved 2 of 5 is a highly-densified numeric symbology encoding digits. Based upon the industrial 2 of 5 symbology, it is a continuous two-width barcode and used on some cartoon products and on 135 film commercially. While the products inside are often labeled with UPC or EAN. Besides, it is also called ANSI, AIM ITF 25, ITF, USS ITF2/5, Uniform Symbology Specification IFT, and 2/5 Interleaved.
CharacteristicsOverall, Interleaved 2 of 5 is fit for encoding general purpose all-numeric, and most importantly, it is utilized mainly in the distribution and warehouse industry. Undoubtedly, Interleaved 2 of 5 has many things in common with Industrial 2 of 5 except for the fact that Code 2 of 5 only encodes information in the bars while Interleaved 2 of 5 can encode information in both the bars and spaces. However, the encoding scheme is suitable for both in terms of their use of wide and narrow elements for each component.
EncodingPairs of digits can be encoded by Interleaved 2 of 5. The first digit is encoded in the five bars which can also be called black lines while the second digit is encoded in the five spaces which are also known as white lines, which means the white lines interleave with the black lines.
"N" is a narrow line and "w" is a wide line. A 2 of 5 code can be formed by the wide lines with the consecutive values of 1, 2, 4, 7 and 0. Here the code 0 has the value of 11, which is pretty much like the POSTNET barcode.
A start code made up of nnnn which means narrow bar-narrow space-narrow bar-narrow space can be seen before the real pairs, and after all symbols, there is the stop code including Wnn which refers to Wide bar-narrow space-narrow bar.
Normally, if we want to encode an odd number of digits, we will add a "0" as first digit. Sometimes an odd number of digits is encoded by using five narrow spaces in the last digit. Therefore, a checksum can be added as last digit, which can be computed in the same way as UPC checksums.
