Windows Control Library Project Template

Project Template Windows Control Library is provided to .NET developers as an existing template in Visual Studio. Windows Control Library is added by Microsoft to implement Control Customization.

Code 128

Background informationCode 128 is a barcode symbology which is highly dandified. It has a particular version which is called GS1-128 and it is primarily used in packaging and shipping industries. Another thing about Code 128 is that it is mostly used for alphanumeric or numeric-only barcodes. All the 128 characters of ASCII can be encoded. GS1-128, not Code 128, is the rather significant part of the labeling standard for GS1 used for identifying products such as container and pallet levels in the supply chain. The symbology was previously known as ISO/IEC 15417:2007.

SubtypesNormally, a 128 barcode has six sections which are quiet zone, start character, encoded data, check character, stop character and quiet zone. 101 symbols, 103 data symbols, 3 start codes and 1 stop code are contained in Code 128. There are three code sets which are A, B, C to stand for all 128 ASCII values. Meanwhile, it can also be mixed with a single barcode which means that we can use codes 98 and 99 to set A and B, code 100 to set A and C, code 101 to set B and C.

Quiet ZoneAs for the quiet zone, one thing that is needed is that it should be more than ten times the width of the narrowest bar or space element. At the same time, it is a must at the left and right side of the barcode.

AvailabilityIt is necessary for the end user to know that either an outside application to create an image of the barcode or a font-based barcode solution can generate Code 128. However, whatever solution is used, the use of an application is still required to calculate the check digit and create the barcode.
