Generate QR Code using Console Application Template
CONSOLE APPLICATIONConsole Applications differs from other .NET applications primarily in three aspects:
The input deviceConsole Applications use Keyboard to input commands. Mouse or other pointing device is no necessary in a console application.
Means of commandIn a Console Application, user interacts with the application using Textual Commands. Commonly, user types text as commands at the command prompt on console windows and terminates by the Enter key.
InterfaceThe interface of a console application is text-only. Usually, it is a Command Line Interface (CLI). Unlike Graphical User Interface (GUI), there is not many buttons, menus, dialog boxes, or icons. Prompt and Text are the only display on the Console Window.
Console Application is likely to provide higher computing stability than those applications with graphical user interface. Command line is executed at a high speed. It could also be validated, interpreted, and parameter-expanded before being executed.
For beginning developers as well as developers with specific task, the use of console applications provides a means to grasp new programming techniques without concern of the design and development of user interface.
QR Code background informationA QR code, which is short for Quick Response, is a particular matrix barcode developed by Toyota subsidiary Denso-Wave in 1994. The barcode includes black modules which are placed in a square pattern on a white background. Besides, it can be read by dedicated readers of QR and camera phones. Known as one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes, the technology has been a great hit in Japan and South Korea, whereas, it has been a rather slower adoption of QR codes in the West.
Variants the BarcodeA standard QR code refers to the code standard for applications which has the ability to deal with large scans. It can also include up to 7089 characters despite the fact that that much data can not be accepted by all the QR readers. At the same time, Micro QR code also belongs to the QR code standard for applications. The difference between the two is Micro QR code is smaller and is less able to handle large scans. As for Micro QR codes, there are different forms as well, the highest of which can hold 35 numeric characters.
License of QR CodeNo license is required to use QR due to the clear definition. It has also been published as an ISO standard. What's more, Denso Wave possesses the patent rights on QR codes, yet it has not officially chosen to exercise them. One thing to remember is that QR barcode itself is a trademark which has already been registered by Denso Wave Incorporated.
Use as ArtworkQR codes have been used by the Italian artist Fabrice de Nola in oil paintings since 2006. We could also see QR codes in the artwork of the download-only single Integral by the British pop group Pet Shop Boys in 2007. In 2008, based on QR codes, the artist Simone O'Callaghan, who was born in Australia, developed a series of screenprinted scanning technologies by changing the codes to take on more organic and less complicated forms.
