The input device

Console Applications use Keyboard to input commands. Mouse or other pointing device is no necessary in a console application.

Interface

The interface of a console application is text-only. Usually, it is a Command Line Interface (CLI). Unlike Graphical User Interface (GUI), there is not many buttons, menus, dialog boxes, or icons. Prompt and Text are the only display on the Console Window.

GS1-128 Overview

GS1, found in 1977, is a non-profit organization to improve the efficiency and visibility of global supply and demand chains. By constant developing and implementing of standards and solutions, the GS1 standard system has become the most popular supply-chain standard system around the world.

GS1 128 is an application standard defined by GS1 using Code 128 specifications.

GS1-128, whose previous name was UCC/EAN-128, is an application standard of the GS1 implementation via using the Code 128 barcode specification. A great number of Application Identifiers are used in order to have additional data such as quantities, batch numbers, weights, and other attributes wanted by the user. Other than that, GS1 standard is an applied standard in the Code 128 barcode, which identifies data with Application Identifiers.

GS1-128 Structure

Typically, a GS1-128 symbol is, as a matter of fact, a Code 128 barcode. Therefore, it is similar to the Code 128. First, it has a Code-128 start character such as A, B, or C. Then, a Code-128 FNC1 character can be found together with the Application Identifier. Thirdly, the data to be encoded depends on the AI. The last point is that it has a Code-128 checksum character.
