In order to open an application wizard, such as the project, or the directory and solution where your project will reside, these project properties can be specified by using the New Project dialog box.

In order to Generate a Visual C++ application wizard, you need to complete the five following steps:

The first step is to click New on the File menu, and then click Project. So the New Project dialog box appears.

The second step is to select the Visual C++ Projects folder in the Project Types pane. In the Templates pane will appear an icon for every type of C++ project.

The third step is to select an icon to choose a project type 3 in the Templates pane. A message appears under both panes makes an indication the type of project you are going to Generate.

The fourth step is to specify your project properties, or skip this step to use Visual Studio default project properties. The fifth step is to Click OK, and the wizard for your project type opens.

Property Pages (C++)

By clicking Properties on the Project menu , you can open the Property Pages dialog box for a Visual C++ project. Settings for Visual Studio projects can be specified by you by using property pages.

On account that project settings and different project properties for each build configuration can be specified by you, these project settings can apply all build configurations. In the Property Pages dialog box, not all usable pages have to be displayed.
