Port Douglas Hartley s is the original Australian croc show and the best we ve seen What makes it different from others is the natural setting a 2-hectare (5acre) lagoon surrounded by melaluca (Paperbark) and bloodwood trees and home to 23 estuarine crocs The best time to visit is for the 3 pm Crocodile Attack Show, when you can witness the crocodile death roll during the 45-minute performance At 11 am you can see them get handfed or hear an informative talk on the less aggressive freshwater crocodiles Tours of the croc farm are at 10 am and 1:30 pm, a snake show is at 2 pm, and 4:30 pm is koala feeding time Cassowaries are fed at 9:30 am and 4:15 pm Hartley s is a good place to stop en route to Port Douglas
